Great work! I like the two tone look too. Weather proof that area periodically with Johnson's Paste Wax and you'll have no rust problems
I just picked up a doner model 11 rifle for a build. It came with the bottom bolt release. There are aome stock and bottom metal options out there for the bottom release, but they're limited. I decided to convert mine over to a top release. It does require machining the side but it's pretty straight forward. I had a long action receiver to pull dimensions from.

A mill, a precision vice, a 1" two fluted end mill and some riser stock. So easy a cave man can do it.
Good job. I was going to leave mine alone but now that I think about it, I do like my top bolt releases.
sweet. Can you do one or two for me?
How did you acquire a top release sear?

Sicario, I sent you a private message.
That's the right way to do the conversion right there! Good work! I am doing the same and was able to get Savage to send me the top release sear directly after filling out a release of liability form.
