    Fluted Bolt

Anyone know where I can find a SSS fishnet fluted LA bolt "in stock"??? SSS says they may be doing a run in March but I am hoping to find one available now.

Yeah I guess if that's what I really want I'll have to be patient and wait until SSS is fluting again and send mine in. There's always spiral fluting with Kampfeld Custom??????????

    check Midway

Troutdodger : I am in the same frame of mind. I'd like a fluted bolt on my FCP-SR. I'm not happy with the slop in the bolt. Apparently the PTG fluted bolt body fits tighter than the factory one . Not supposed to alter yer headspace Midway price $102 .Not a whole lot more than sending one out.

I tried multiple sources to flute a couple of my bolts. I had 0 replies. I ordered 2 from Savage. Both off the LWH series of rifles 1 LA 1 SA.
They arrived today. You have to sign off on the waiver. They email it to you, fill it out and send it back.

    $91 for LA
    $90 for SA
Thats as cheap as what most want to charge to flute your own. It's also tough finding someone who flutes bolts.

I can give you part numbers if you want them. I'll have to find the invoice.

That's good to know Sinman. There are a few vendors on eBay doing for $75-$85
A guy on Accurate Shooter forum for $90.

    $50 is cheap!

Happy customer here with the ptg bolt body. Quick and easy fit and it much tighter than the factory body. Fluting the stock bolt doesnt help with the play in it. If anything it makes it worse.
