    338 Edge vs. 338 RUM

Ok, my understanding the 338 Edge is a 300 RUM necked up to 338, am I correct here?

What are the advantages or the edge over the RUM?

    Thanks

10% or in this case 10gr more powder capacity, which comes in handy when you are sending those 300gr slugs down range, the reason it was called they "Edge" is it has they Edge over the 338 Lapua.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

The Edge is what the 338RUM should have been.

It was a stupid idea to shorten it amongst the other RUMs.

They did that because they were afraid idiots, were going to chamber a 300 in a 338, good grief.

Like that would be harmful. Like shooting 270 in a 30-06.

    Good grief is right.

I thought the reason they did it is so the longer .338 bullets could be loaded to fit in the magazine.
It's better to shoot for the moon and hit the fencepost than to shoot for the fencepost and hit the ground!

Then the 375RUM would be shorter yet, but it is 300RUM length.
