    Head space check

Ok, I can not find my NO-GO gauge. I took my go and put 1 piece of masking tape over the face of the gauge. This is what I came up with. Should this be OK or do I need to tighten it up a little.

I just got this barrel back from RWS over @ SH. He cut threaded and crowned the barrel for his brake. Break included it all came to $90 with shipping. The break works great. But LOUD.

Also put a new Konus 4.5-16 Tactical scope on. I will do a review of this shorly. I had an eye injury a week ago an it is still fuzzy. I want to give it a fair shake.

The Weaver tactical rings. I don't think I like them.

Watched a video clip on here a few weeks ago about this. 3 pieces of tape bolt should not close and you are good to go. 2 pieces might be 0.001 too loose I don't think it is enough to worry about.

2 pieces of scotch tape is .004.
    That is what I use.

Last set of go/no go gages I got were .003 apart.

It seems that the term "Scotch Tape" has become generic. Various brands of transparent tape vary in thickness. The difference between a go gauge and a no/go gauge should be about .003". Measure the tape you're using.

OK, the tape measured .0015". I think I should be OK.
