I've never hunted coyotes but talking to my wife's uncle today he said he's been seeing alot of coyotes on his farm mainly at night, and last deer season they stumbled across a den and shot 4 of them, now he hears them every night about an hour after dark yelping and howling and they have been running really close to his house. My question is if hes only seeing them a night is there any good ways to coax them out during daylight hours? Like I've said I have never hunted them but have read about it a little, so any tips and techniques would be helpful, theres also brush and timber wolves in the area also, I know I cant shoot the wolves, but he want me to try to kill as many of the coyotes as I can. Thanks Kris

My bad, your articles on coyote hunting are also very good. No offense intended Thad.
BTW, got my 25-06 AI barrels back from Sinarms and fireformed brass this weekend. I've got plenty of RL-22 and 100 gr. NBT's ready to start load testing.

Yeah, these outlawkyote articles are a great resource.

Outlaw,
I saw several references to the .224 dia, and heavy bullet. What cartridge were you using on the last article?
22-243 middlested
The heavy bullets did way too much damage to the pelts. That was a fun hunt! Gotta do it again this winter.
Let me know if you need help thinning them out, I need to use my nightvision equipment!
SERIOUS!
