    Handguns

Hope this is ok, haven't seen much on here that isn't Savage, but I picked up a couple of handguns, one is new, the other new to me, and since I like gun porn:

Mods, if out of line let me know and I'll delete.

I've been wanting one of these for about a year, Sig Sauer P938 9mm

Stopped and picked it up on the way to a hunting trip the first week of November. Hunting partner was looking at a Ruger 22/45 Lite 22lr pistol with a threaded barrel, he just got his suppressor permit. Said he would buy it if he could sell the 22/45 he has now.

I took it off his hands for $200.

I don't know why, but Sig's have never tripped my trigger. Part of it is that most of them aren't lefty friendly, but I really just don't care for the looks either. The matte black with rosewood grips is a nice classy combo though.

I used to be a diehard revolver guy, until my department converted to semi-autos. We can't carry revolvers any more. Granted the Sig's aren't pretty, and they could be more friendly to south paws, but they shoot, I get better accuracy from the 3 Sigs I have than any other semi-auto I've tried. And their SA trigger is exceptional, at least on all of mine.

Still, there is not much better looking than a nice stainless S&W 686.

Or a Bill Wilson custom. oops, Bill Davis.

Sorry, crappy cell phone pics, they're the best I got on photobucket right now.

I seem to have developed an affinity for silver Rugers somewhere along the line in the last two years.

Nice revolvers. I wish the Ruger I picked up was a fluted MKIII instead of the 22/45, they look so much nicer.

They're nicer, but also noticeably heavier!

Most of my shooting is done with rifles or specialty pistols, but most of my hunting is with my revolvers. Looks Like I need to take a few more today and post them as well as my love album is missing some.

My carry gun, Wiley Clapp GP100 in a Fist holster and Benchmade Emissary.

D-Max Sidewinder .454 Cassull. Precursor to BFR series. Was still Mom & Pop business when this one was made. Extremely strong and accurate.

Freedom Arms 83 Premier Grade. These revolvers are everything they claim to be. There is absolutely zero cylinder play.

FNH FiveseveN. So much fun to shoot, great house gun.

FNH FNP 9. Think Sig and Glock had a baby that took the Sigs accuracy.

    Sig TTT.

    Sig POW/MIA

S&W Model 52. Pure target gun to shoot .38 Special Wadcutters.

    6" GP 100

    4" SP101

Colt Python the wife bought me for our 20 year anniversary.

    More shooting, less typing.

    Sig STX.

Daughters New Model Blackhawk in .45 Colt

    My IDPA gun, 625 JM.

And of course a .22, Browning Buckmark.

Gee, I'm drooling all over my keyboard! Niiccceee! I need to get some pics of the last handguns I traded for; a little Walther PPK/S .22 and a Taurus .357 Mag. 5 shot revolver. A lot cheaper guns than posted here, but still I love 'em. I have a Heritage 'Rough Rider' .22LR and also the .22 mag cylinder; also a Iver Johnson Sportsman 6 shot double action .22LR. My carry piece is a little Bersa Thunder .380 Concealed Carry.

I love that Sig P938 it is my wife's carry I got her. Ambidextrous safety she is a lefty as well. The trigger is just really sweet. I carry the S&W Shield 9C. If I could afford it I would carry the P938 as well and eventually unless I come across something I like better I will get one.

Yes, yes she does. She is 15, 5' 4" and weighs about 95 pounds wet. She fired about a 100 rounds one day then decided to try out the 625. 250 rounds later she tells me she likes it. Those were full house loads in it as well. Same loads she shoots in the 1911's and they are bone stock factory springs. Was going to get her a M&P 9 for IDPA but she said no deal as she doesn't want anything that doesn't start with a 45. So she will use the 625 for IDPA now and I will use the WC Gp100 in the SSR class.

Nice looking pistolas you got there. I used to have a J frame but stupidity lead me to sell it to a friend.

Oh, right now she has her heart set on a 5" barreled BFR in .454. Maybe later in life but she has enough for now.

Thanks, that one has been my everyday carry, both on and off duty, for about 6 or 7 years. Great little knife and holds an edge extremely well.

My favorite is my 1991 Colt duty gun. It is just a solid easy to shoot 1911.
