.17 Hornet

So I got the CZ 527 in the .17 Hornet. I wanted the .22 Hornet but since I have it in the Anschutz rifle I thought try out this new cartridge based on the .22 Hornet.

I've had the .17 Remington twice in two BDL 700s and both times I felt the thing was overbored.

This .17 Hornet is impressive. I put a Leupold fixed 6X with Target Turrets on it. I love it.

So now I wonder if Savage has a bolt in .17 Hornet and how that performs against the CZ 527.

Any input is welcome.

Is not a wildcat cartridge anymore.
Savage chambers the Model 25 Walking Varminter and the Model 25 Lightweight Varminter in 17 Hornet.
