Get out your reloading manual and look at the cartridge drawings. Pretty much everyone since Julius Cesar builds there long action around the 30-06.
The 30-06 has a maximum COL of 3.340"
The 300 WM has a maximum COL of 3.340"
I have an Savage 111 Hunter with a detachable box magazine (Savage 19674), I would like to rechamber it in 300 win mag, 300 win mag magazine will fit on the action?

I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
The 7mm Mag is shorter and the factory Savage 300 win mag is not the same as the 7mm.
What I got out of Mr darkker's post was long actions are milled to accept the 30-06 cartridge which as you noted is
longer than the 7mm mag. The long action has a opening of 3.80" (ref FAQ) so I agree again with darkker that yes the 300 win Mag rechambering will work just fine. One way to be sure is to measure the mag opening in the action. How ever I could be wrong.
300 Win Mag magazine will fit on the action.

Another question concerning stock for Savage long action with detachable magazine, the only option are Boyds and Hogue?
Same question but for a Savage in 7mm rem mag blind mag centerfeed (magazine attached to the stock) I would like to know if I can change it for the same magazine but in 300 win mag, no modifications necessary? I'm interested in a build and I need a 300 win mag for this. I'm not sure if Savage use the same mag in their 7mm rem mag and 300 win mag rifles.
