    Model 11 Synthetic Stock Options

I am in the market for a replacement stock for my Model 11 Trophy Hunter. A synthetic stock would be my preference for weight and weather reasons. However, I would rather not pay 600 bucks and wait 6 months for a McMillan. Bell & Carlson doesn't appear to make anything for this model but their website seems fairly dated. Does anyone have any recommendations or does Bell & Carlson make something for me??? Or am I going to have to suck it up and buy a laminate stock?????

Thanks for the rec., are you running or have you run one of these stocks before? How do you like?

Edit: Forgot the kicker, it's a lefty.

My bad! Only offer the B&C Classic Medalist for Savage LA, RH.

Not any other options in Savage SA, LH, CF classic hunter style stocks I know about. I would take a look at the Stockade Gunstock Hunter Sport if you can make due with a 16+ week wait for a custom stock at prices that won't break the bank. It is only available with blind magazine. It is my favorite Savage hunting rifle stock due to the ligher weight, fit and feel.

A short term option for those who can't wait or afford a high dollar custom stock is to get a Savage SA, LH, CF, DBM walnut (lighter than laminate) stock from Boyd's or a cheap Savage SA, RH, CF, DBM hardwood stock from Numrich. Fill the RH bolt handle inlet with bondo and dremel out a lefty bolt handle inlet. Apply 3 coats of DuraCoat (now available in rattle can) to seal the hardwood with a tough, chemical and chip resistant epoxy base paint. Then apply Krylon webbing paint to improve texture and grip. No one but you will know it is not a high dollar custom stock.
