I have never seen that before. Take that for what its worth. Fred or Jim may be the ones to get to respond on this.
There is a LRP in 22-250 posted on a local forum that has a blues receiver and a stainless barrel and nut. Owner claims that this is the factory configuration. My searches have come up with no new information. Has anyone seen a mixed finish model or is this just likely an aftermarket barrel?

I have seen that on older rifles from Savage but not any in the last 8 years or so. Are you sure it is a LRP? Got pics?

At one point he calls it a LRP and another point a LRPV which I'm sure it is not. Kind of just looks like a plain model 12 with a stainless barrel to me. Maybe y'all can tell.
So it turns out the barrel is a savage, but the receiver doesn't have an accutrigger or the trigger warning on the receiver. I think it's just a plain model 12 that someone put an LRP barrel on.
LRP barrel won't fit standard model 12. The photo did not post correctly, at least it didn't on my computer. The two tone rifles were quite common at one point on the BVS/SS models.

Savage hasn't made any factory two-tone models that I can recall since 1996 or 1998 when they came out with the SS actions.

I suspect Savage did a special order run of 2 tone rifles for one of their key distributors or retailers at some point in time.
It's probably not an LRP, as I've never seen them offered in 22-250. It is most probably a 12 fvss from 1999 or older.
