    magazine conversion questions

I have an early 110 (30 06 stagger feed) that I am having rebarrelled to 308. It has the internal magazine. I would like to convert to detachable AI type mags with an aftermarket kit, or if that's not possible savage type mags. Possible to do? Any adviçe welcomed. Thanks.

First you must know what the screw spacing is then you can order the bottom metal

Its 5 inches. One thing I am unsure of is that since the ejector is mounted to the rear of the magazine block how would that work with a detachable mag bottom metal set up?

Balljoint, All long actions have the same screw spacing.

OK I think I have answered my own question. I have a pre 66 rifle with old style ejector attached to the mag box and I think I would need to switch to a newer style bolt with built in ejector. So how hard would that be?
