    New Savage Albertan

Good day to all! I am as of Christmas, a Savage owner, I came across a previously owned Savage 12FCV in .223, after a couple calls to the right people for opinion, I picked it up with a smile on my face!
I am currently saving to put glass on it and see how she shoots, seems like it should be great to me, though I do have limited knowledge of the Savage family, from what I am learning, I think this will be a good piece. My goal is to punch some paper at long range and perfect the application of long range shooting principles with a rifle that is cost effective to shoot and small enough to force me to learn to do things properly, I do hunt as well, though the rifle I use is a Thompson Encore ProHunter 270, that aside I am primarily interested in honing long range skills.

I have noticed very few 12FCV like mine out there, but I hope it was a wise decision.

Looking forward to learning from some more well traveled Savage brothers.

    Cheers.
