Stock Stiffening for a New Build

I am beginning a new build project and would like to know how those of you that have opted to use the factory "tuperware" stocks have stiffened them to your satisfaction? Please use as much detail as possible. Yes, I do own a couple B & C Duramax stocks, but would like to try "factory" for this one. Thank you for your help!

I epoxied a piece of 3/8"x3/8" steel key stock in the square channel of the forend. I had to grind down the end toward the butt to make sure it would fit under the recoil lug, then I heated it and melted it into the plastic recoil block. I also epoxied a piece of 1/8"x1" aluminun strap onto the sides of the magazine well. I glass bedded the action after that and was satisified with the result.

Bondo, epoxy, some pvc pipe, a little balsa wood for filler, some pour-stone, and I made it into a 14.5# ground squirrel shooter. Does it work? Sure. And, if money were no object, I'd probably have an SSS LVT. It was a good learning experience.

Notice the xhogboss ran his stiffener rod all the way back past the barrel nut. Because the flex point is in that area, not putting the rod all that way back wont do much but make the rifle heavier. Good luck.
