    6.5 Creedmoor factory ammo, what'

Just ordered a couple of Savage 6.5 CM rifles. One is the basic model 11 trophy hunter package and the other is the "new" model 11 trophy predator ( 22216) with a heavier barrel.
Anyone shooting these with factory ammo? I'm not set up to hand load and will use them mainly for hunting medium size game. I hope to shoot a few boxes thru them to dial them in and was going to try Hornady 140 Amax first.
    Any recommendations are appreciated. Jim

My 12 LRP has no issues with the 140 A-MAX.

My expirence with A-max for big game, is that they are built light, so they expand rather quickly. So they tend to be meat wasters if you don't only hit lungs. If that is good for you, then fire away. If you are a sholder shooter, be prepared to waste meat.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
