Model 10 predator max trigger issues

I loaned this rifle to my brother and he brought it back saying is had 3 rounds that did not fire when he pulled trigger. He lifted bolt to cock and tried again and no fire, removed round and firing pin had not hit primer. The pin dropped he said and made a noise of doing so. I cannot duplicate the problem. Cleaned bolt assembly and it was clean as a whistle. Has any one had issues with this at all? Seems to me that someone said one time that if trigger was pulled while on safe the taken off safe and pulled there were issues but cannot find anything is search.
    Any ideas?

Is it an accutrigger? I read in the past that it was possible to pull the trigger in such a way that the sear safety would catch and not let the gun fire. It was a shooting form issue that had to do with the trigger pull being set light and not pulling the trigger straight to the rear I believe.

    Yes it is.

I had no problem in 500+ rounds myself. I will try pulling to the side and messing with it again tonight. Wounder if there is a fix other than replacing it with a R B trigger.

Welcome to the accu-trigger half-drop from side loading. Well known aggravation to many.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

You must be smarter than the trigger.

Rifle Basix SAV-1 is a great cure for that problem. I stuck with the Accutrigger for a long time, until I began shooting timed stages with my V/T. The Accutrigger just didn't cut it, ESPECIALLY with cold hands and gloves. Shot the competition on Saturday, got the new trigger and installed and had it adjusted before the next Saturday. Won't be going back.

That will be on the list of stuff with next purchase. Until then, myself I have not had the problem shooting and only caused it when I intentionally side loaded it couple nights ago.
