    My 110FLP 25/06 got here.

I called Effie at Savage at the end of last year and ordered a 110FLP 25/06 Tactical from the Savage Custom Shop since they discontinued it a couple years ago. They told me it would take around 6 weeks for it,and they were right on the money.

I'm going to put the barreled action in a Choate Tactical stock as soon as they get me one made for a LH long action. Fred Choate told me it would be about a month longer a couple days ago.
For Optics,I'm going with a Sightron SIII 6-24X50 LRMD with Burris Signature Zee rings and a Ken Farrell 1pc base.

If this gun shoots anywhere near as good as my 110FLP 300WM,I'll be happy with it.

Sounds like you are going to have a lot of fun. The 25-06 is a great round and will be much more fun to shoot than your 300. Keep an eye out for brass stretching. The 25 is pretty bad about that, but that will go away when you have it AI'd ;D

    .

    Effie made me a left-hand single-shot BVSS-S in 25-06 a few years back.

Makes a good ground squirrel gun.

The .25-06 is my favorite rifle cartridge and has been so for 32 years. Mine is a Rem 700 VS. Weird but it's hard to get this cartridge in a heavy barrel anymore. I was just thinking of looking to see if Savage offers it in a heavy barrel.

Well I don't know if it will be more fun than the 300WM,but I'm sure I'll like it. I always check my brass for stretching so that shouldn't be an issue.

    I think I'll stick to my .308. :D

(Though I'm thinking this would make a nice deer gun.)

I'm still waiting on Choate to make my stock, but put everything else together. A Ken Farrell 1pc base,Burris Signature Zee rings, and a Sightron SIII 6-24X50 LRMD scope. Here are some pics, along with my other 110FLP 300WM.

Well,I received my Choate Tactical stock finally, only to have to send it back. They had made it for a staggered feed mag,and I needed it to be Centerfeed. Fred Choate is a great guy,and fixed it promptly and sent it back. Here's a pic.

I'm still working up some loads for it,but it likes 115gr Nosler Silvertips.

I also shot some Nosler 100gr Ballistic Tips, they shot like crap.I'll be trying some different powders with them. And some Sierra 100gr BTSP's,they shot OK but still need to work on them a little.

Throw around 56 grs. of RL22 behind those 100 NBTs, I think that you will be happy.

They do but you may have to call Effie and ask.

I just got a 112BVSS with a 26 inch fluted SS barrel from Jim at NSS. He had 2 of them left the last time I talked too him.
