SAVAGE 12 VLP 1-7" Throat length?

I'm thinking about picking one of these up with the fast twist. My main thought is about whether they are chambered with a throat long enough for the 75 and 80 grain bullets. I'm thinking about trying A-max bullets first, but want to hear from someone with experience with this fast twist savage. Also, what kind of groups are you guys getting with these guns? Thanks

I have the mod 12 lrp with the 1 in 7 twist. I shoot the berger 80 gr. molly in my gun . they work perfect. I'm hitting golf balls and clay pigeons at 500 yards . I'm loading 26 gr. varget. Hope this helps..........TIP......... I take a sized case with NO primer or powder and seat the bullet just so it enters the case. Then put it in the chamber and gently close the bolt. Then use this dummy round to set your seater. The bullet will be touching the lands, which is what berger recomends..........Mine is a single shot so I have no problem with OAL..
