    Found My First Old Savage

Well I found and purchased my first vintage Savage. It is a Model 1899 B in .30-30. It has an octagonal 26" barrel and was born in 1911. There is a minor crack repair in the stock, but that won't affect how it shoots. I plan on using it for CB Silhouette. I would rather get a tang sight on it than one on the receiver.
Any suggestions. I've heard about an old company named King that made them, but I don't know much more. I contacted MVA but they had some problems figuring out the base. Here's some pix.

King made tangs sights but they're few and far between, Lyman and Marbles are much more common.

    Savage- "never say never".
