    Mark II barrel removal

Gonna get an 11 deg crown put on the barrel. Can I get it off myself to save a few smithing bucks?

Probably not without damaging things. They are not only pinned, they are pressed in as well. You don't need to remove the barrel to have it crowned, just remove everything that is hanging off the receiver so it will go through the spindle.

Any gunsmith sized lathe, will be able to handle the crown job with the receiver still attached

    X2!

If your smith can't chuck it up still in action there's not much smith work he can do with his tiny little lathe.
