Yes. I haven't seen them in any local stores yet but I do know Black Hills Ammo has some.
    More shooting, less typing.

Thanks for the information. I didn't know they were going the polymer tip route. Of course, none are available in central Georgia yet.

they say "thicker jacket than blitzking" which would make me think there similar to an Amax

This is great news and should make for a great long range bullet. BCs over .5 seem a bit high though as using Brian litz formula I'm getting somewhere around .456 - .465 which is much more comparable to similar bullet offerings. For the 155s that is.

The 168 calcs out around .494-.504 which is still very very good.

I may have to eat my words. I just found this over on accurate shooter. They claim BCs are verified.

Went completely under my radar until now.
Really glad to see it to. Between berger and hornady's recent contributions to the high bc bullet selection, sierra was loosing ground.
With berger leading and sierra and hornady battling it out for second place, I have bean expecting hornady to eclipse the "standard" that is sierra. This should cover allot of ground toward evening up that competition and further expanding viable selection in that market.
    Which is win/win.

eddiesindian, if you want to slightly improve the BC of your existing Sierra bullets, you could point them with a Whidden Pointing tool. What it does is close up the meplat and make it a sharper point.I would not do this on a bullet intended for hunting as it closes up the hollow point and therefore could change the expansion characteristics. However if you're only shooting paper or steel it could be helpful.

BTW Sierra is now pointing the .243 caliber 107 Match King from what I hear. Not a plastic tip, but a pointed meplat.

While I have faith in Sierra.............you never know, better do some testing before you run completely out of the old tried and true.

The Amax has always had a thinner jacket than the Sierra. To give you an idea, speaking specifically to the 22-cals, the Hornady bullets have a 290,000 RPM limit. Sierra is 320,000.

Wow, really intrigued by the .224 69gr TMK's. With a BC of .375, that's getting close to 75gr A-Max territory. Big improvement from the HP design. Would love to try some when they hit the market. Anybody have an idea when that might happen? Or are they already available?

I didn't pay that close attention when I was in Lester's store (Bruno's shooter's supply) a few days ago, but there were pamphlets laying around talking about them. So I assume that means PDQ.

Just got off the phone with Sierra. They say they'll be another 4-6 weeks out since they just came off a 2 week shut down for the holidays. The tech guy said probly by the end of the month if not February.

It's not just you, they are/do seem amazing. I'd really like to get my hands on some .224 69gr'ers. They've been making them for black hills for a long time I have no idea why it took them this long to release em in component form.
