IMR 8202 XBR in a 6 BR

Anyone have any experience loading the 6 BR with this new powder. I am wanting to try it with 87gr Vmax and 88gr Berger FB hi BC, bullets.

From what I see in the Manual it is too fast for much over 90gr bullets.

XBR is faster burning than H4895 and is much hotter than Varget or Re15 (two popular powders in 6br) I have shot some XBR in 6PPC and so far I love this powder. (Burned up a pound so far) The powder is designed for calibers where a faster burning powder is used like a 223 Remington.

I would say that XBR would be good in a 6br with light 65-75 gr bullets, I would say 87 gr v-max would be about the limit of the powder.

I loaded up some XBR in 17 Rem. Hope to try it out next Sunday.

I would agree with that... Just work-up the loads with each bullet you intend on shooting with XBR.

Don't forget about H380 with the heavyer bullets in a BR case............ Most overlook this powder..... It'll shoot .!

That was my thought also. I will try to shoot it with the 87grvmax and some 88gr bergers and see what it does.
