    11/111 Hogue Stock DBM problem

Hi all! New to the forum. I have a dilemma with my brand new 11/111 Trophy Hunter XP. I bought a Hogue overmold stock for my 111 which has a DBM. There is no metal for the DBM to attach to in the Hogue stock. The Savage stock is molded to accept the magazine. So what would be the solution to my problem with out spending a ton of money? Do I need some sort of floor plate? Right now "Mabel" is going to be a one shot rifle. Mabel is chambered in 338 win mag with a long action. The Hogue overmold stock is a fully aluminum block bedded stock and a nice 6"-9" Harris bipod. She's gonna be my long range sniper. Any help is appreciated!!

You'll have to call savage and tell them you're situation and the can get you the parts you need, which would be the parts from a wood stock rifle. They were real helpful when I called.

Yeah, seems like that's going to be my only option. I was just hoping someone on here would know from experience. I definitely love the stock when I shot the gun for the first time today. I must say that the recoil pad on the Hogue needs to be upgraded haha. If anyone else has any suggestions I'm up for hearing them!

Put a brake on it and don't worry about the recoil pad.

It looks like i will be in the same boat your are in. i just bought a 111 trophy hunter xp in 300 win mag and have been researching stocks that will work with the bottom bolt release and the dbm and have settled on the hogue full bed. the stock that came on mine seems to be a little different than yours, the part that the mag snaps into comes out of my gun but it does not look like it will work on the hogue. Have you found a fix for yours?

The Hogue stock you have requires the traditional 10/110 metal DBM (not the Axis style). Your current mag and original stock were for the "Axis" style mags. If I were you, I'd get the metal surround with metal retaining clip and traditional DBM mag. It's not cheap, (around $100) but nicer, in my opinion.

Actually, I think it is your only option.

I just found a picture of a hogue stock for my model of gun that the piece from my stock will bolt into and let the mag work. What is the model number of your hogue stock?
