So far my favorite handload is a 58gr V-Max followed by as much Varget as your brass and particular rifle can handle. Laser flat out to about 400 and do a good job on the 'yote.

Can't speak for factory. Haven't bought any for quite some time.

I've had pretty good luck experimenting with 87 grain V-Maxes, with 42.0 gr. H-4350. All normal precautions, as to working loads up for your own rifle pertain here!!!! But, this load shoots well in my Remington 700, & my girlfriends Savage 11! I whacked a Coyote with that load last winter @ close to 300 yards, & he didn't travel far to his demise! I'm like "boots", haven't bought or shot much factory fodder in years! Idaho-45

How much wind do you live in? if its not windy boots has the best advice with the 58! if you live in windy country 15 + mph all the time a 70-95 gr bullet will probly work best. I can t use 58gr because i have more wind drift than drop LOL

The 65gr Vmax's are even better than the 58gr from my experience.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

    58gr Z's & V-max. Loaded with 760/414/2700.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

darkker: I also use these powder(s) with great success in my .243s with 80/85/87 gr bullets. Have you tried them with the 100 grainers? Too fast?
