    what stock should i get,,.....????

i had the choate ultimate sniper, on my old savage,, loved the feel, but way heavy..

i just got a new LRPV, and i HATE the feel of of the grip angle when laying prone..

so, i have 2 in mind in my price range....

    Choate varmint folder
    +full aluminum bedding V block
+folder allows me to keep my suppressor on all the time in the case
    +perfect grip angle for prone
    +higher cheek weld

    -a tad heavy

    the other
    +lighter
    +looks
    -bedding block doesn't look full

As far as stocks goes, you would be best served to go with the one feels best to you. If you can, try them both out and see which you fits you best, instead of trying to get the forum members' opinions. I have never tried the Medalist stock so I can't vouch for them. I do that the Full UV stock and love the stock. Fits excellent on the bench. The barrel is a 27" bull so weight was a non-issue. There is no way to make my rifle light lol.
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

I have the B&C medalist (exact one in picture) - I love it. I have not handled the Choate, but I hear it is heavy. The B&C is around 2.5 lbs. I do not know what you mean where you said the bedding block in the B&C isn't full, isn't there an image of it in the pic you posted of the B&C's? As far as I know, it is a full bedding block. I find it difficult to flex the stock at all, unless I am leaning on it really good (probably >30 lbs, but that is really rough guess). I figure if you have that much weight/stress on the rifle, the stock flexing is the least of your worries. :D
