    Anyone shooting a 6.5 Sin ??

I have not seen much info posted on this recently. Looks like a cool round, anyone care to share some info about this round.

I would hope Devin would swing by. I saw a post from him stating some impressive velocities from it.
    More shooting, less typing.

I'd be interested to see which is better, the 6.5sin or the 26 nosler.
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

They are nearly identical. At least according to the Sin and Nosler reamer prints I have seen. The only differenct is the shoulder angle 35 degree for the Nosler, 40 degrees for the Sin. Every other dimension is pretty much the same.

The 26 Nosler and 6.5 Sin look pretty close, as geargrinder said, so I wonder if that took some of the excitement out of the 6.5 Sin?

The problem with cartridges in that class is finding powders that will work well in a small bore/large case round. I have a 6.5x338 RUM Improved (called the 6.5 Badger) that holds more powder than the Nosler case, but there just aren't many powders slow enough to make use of it. The small bore rounds really need a ball powder as well to prevent powder bridging. US 869 or WC 872 are the best for the big cases but still not quite slow enough to fill the case before the pressures spike. The Nosler/Sin case (or 6.5x375 Ruger) are probably the upper limit of what's practical in a 6.5 bore.
