    scope for a striker

For those of you shooting strikers are you using handgun scopes or rifle scopes? And if so what ones?
I would like a scope up to 12-14x but only see negative reviews for the one handgun scope that I saw that has that power.
Plan on shooting from the bench at 100-200 yards and feel my old eyes need more than the usual 8x.
Trying to stay a little less than $400 seeing as how I will be dropping close to a K on the Striker.

Just get a rifle scope. I use nikon 3x9 BDC on my hunting guns and have had any other type of high magnification scopes on others. Just practice and you will be comfortable with the eye relief of the rifle scope. I have used rifle scope with 223, 243, 308, 30 Bellm, and my 450 Bushmaster with no scope eye.

Snowgetter thank you. I guess you are the only striker shooter left on here. I do have a 3.8-12 Intencity (weaver 44/40) in the cabinet to try for now, but will most likely go for a new Nikon force eer 2.5-8x in the future.

I've had great luck with the Leupolds on the Strikers. Find a deal on a 4.5-14 and you should be good to go. I usually end up running my variables at around 12x anyways.

Another good option is the Nikon Buckmaster line. I've run one on a few different Strikers and I've been pretty happy with it. That's the scope I use while I'm saving up for something different.

If I was going below 20 on the scope I use the Burris 3-12. I have several specialty pistols, long range specific ones have rifle scopes, hunting ones use pistol scopes.
    More shooting, less typing.

Burris 3-12x is what I had on my Striker and it's a great scope. My only complaint was I wished it had more magnification when punching paper at 200 yards.

I will second Jim's recommendation on the Burris scope.

The only complaint I had with the centerfire Striker was that all scopes I tried on it dark and out of focus due to my very long monkey arms. However, the .17HMR was a lot more pleasant shooting at half an arms length.

I got a new nikon eer as a gift, so I mounted it but I still can not sit or stand long enough in the reloading room to work up some loads for it(recent back surgery).
Hopefully I will get it done with in a few weeks and see how it shoots. I have some proven 260 loads for my rifle and am tempted to try those first.

I second or rather 3rd the Burris'. I have a Fullfield II 3-9x40 on my 444 Marlin Striker and I love it. Will be buying another for my newly acquired Striker action.
