Welcome aboard
Hello all, i'm new to this forum and i like to hunt small game and deer. Not a proffesional by any means but but pretty good shot. Last summer i really got into shooting woodchucks for local farmers, it is a blast. Next summer i would like to reach out a little further with my shots. I was using a Ruger 10/22 with simmons scope. I am really interested in the Savage Arms 11/111 Trophy Hunter XP in the 243. I chose the 243 cause i can use it for chucks and for deer with larger grain bullets. I'm curious as to how far out i can accurratly shoot with this gun and nikkon scope settup? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I own my grandpa's old Stevens 325B 30-30 if ya wanna count that as a Savage, LOL. I'm interested in Savage cause of there well known accuracy and dependability. Thanks

Welcome
Which scope are you using? With good magnification, good ammo, and you doing your part - that rifle should be able to take out chucks to 400-500 yards, if not farther.
A lot depends on the shooter, then the scope & ammo.
