    Model 10 vs. 110 coding ????

hey guys, as most of us are aware the Model 110 is a long action and the Model 10 is a short. Well, I have learned over time that prior to 1998 both long and short actions were all model 110s. However, I just ran into someone claiming to have a brand new Savage 110 in .243.....????? How is this possible?

Unless it is "old stock", it isn't possible. He is simply mistaken.

Well thats what I thought. He has been persistent in trying to tell me that its brand new. Just wanted to make sure I was correct in my thinking before I called him out.

Still might be new in box (old, but never sold) or he does not understand 10 from 110. ask for a serial number.
