Sounds like an exceptional choice for what you have in mind and should let you continue to reach out a very long way. 12LRP has a great weight well suited for target work.
I don't think you can do any better than the creed without moving into a heavy caliber, which is no place to start.

I'm new to long range shooting also, I went with this same rifle,12LRP in 6.5 creedmoor,Leupold med rings,EGW 20 moa mount,Vortex level and a Vortex Viper 6.5x20x50, have about 1600.00 invested and of course I had to buy dies, pound of powder and a few other small items and now I feel I'm set to start the fun and frustrating sport of LRTS.

Have you been to the range with factory ammo?If you don't mind, where did you find rifle and how much?

I bought it from my local small town dealer, been buying from him for 17 yrs now and he seems to give me the best prices he can and still make money. I have only shot it twice out in my yard,no real target just needed to pull the trigger, need the weather to get better before I'll get to the range and really get to try it out with factory 140 ammo. Believe you me I'm chomping at the nails to get out, its been raining and the temps have been high 20s low 30s so Friday or Saturday might be the day I get to the range if no blizzards pop up.
