stagger feed short action choate stock

Hey folks I came across a savage 11 in .308 with stagger feed magazine. I already have a choate varmint stock with the 4.27 spacing so I thought it would bolt right up. I am having trouble with the bolt binding up and not cycling. Have any of you had this trouble and if so what do I need to do to correct it? I didn't have this trouble with my last build so I'm a little confused on what to do to make it work correctly. I'm also reading a bunch of stuff about the stagger feed not feedin g correctly so can this be switched to a centerfeed? Either way it will be a blind magazine not DBM.

Assuming everything worked O.K before being installed in stock. Check front action screw, it may be hitting bolt head lug. Also check to see if tang is floating, if not, this may cause the action to be in a bind.

That's exactly what it was. I had to shim the front screw. Thanks for the reply.
