Rail and Scope Mount Suggestions

I'm in the process of mounting a Nightforce 12-42x56 Benchrest scope on a Savage F-class 6br. What suggestions for a rail, 20 or 30 moa, and what rings for 600 and 1000 yd competition?

I would use the 20 minute base and rings as LOW as you can go with that 56mm bell. I like Warne personally. Its a Chevy, Ford, Dodge thing. All are comparable (Warne, Burris, Leupold, Nightforce, etc ring's). Just get as low as you can no matter what make or model you choose.

Thanks Snipe, yes that is exactly my intent to keep it as low as possible. I have not mounted (or owned) a scope this large, and being as this must be a fairly rifle/scope combination, I was hoping to get some suggestions what works well, I don't want to have to re-invent the wheel. Also with the 6br wanted to be sure I would not max out the scope with the 20 moa. I hope someone shoots something similar!

I use an EGW 20 MOA picatinny base and Burris High Signature Zee rings on mine. I think medium height rings would be too low with this base. With this base/ring combination, you can get anywhere between 0 and 40 moa of cant depending on how you orient the ring inserts. I have mine set so that the scope's elevation adjustment is bottomed out at 100 yd. That way when you dial in the 30 or so MOA required to reach 1000 yd., you are stilll fairly close to the center of the scopes internal adjustment. This has worked well for me on 2 Savage F-Class builds.

I use a Murphy precision 20moa base night force high ultra lite 4 hole rings,with a NF nxs 8-32x56 and the scope is .329 off the barrel which is a little high so i may swap to the medium rings which will drop the scope another .125 as far as i can figure.
