    Model 11 with Accutrigger serial #J102930


    I have a New Model 11 in 7mm-08 Bottom Bolt release The booklet states cocking indicator on page 28 Fig 11 when cocked Tip on indicator is protruding from rear of bolt

    on my rifle when its cocked the indicator is level with the back of the bolt . Booklet #107643 08/10 rev 4 anyone have the same ?

    Time to call savage customer service. If it doesn't protrude it is good for nothing. I guess I was wrong. Most indicators are above flush but I guess they couldn't do it that way.

    When it's cocked it will be close to flush.

    I thought so It would be hard to insert an allen wrench to removed the bolt piece.
    Thank You Guys for the Help Now to find the correct walnut stock and metal

    You actually have to decock the bolt to remove the BAS on these bolt assemblies. Just use the edge of your workbench to rotate the cocking pin to the uncocked position to disassemble, then back to the cocked position after reassembly to get it back in the action. Kind of a PITA for a silly cocking indicator that isn't necessary anyway (we got along without one for 45+ years after all).
