I've learned a lot from the postings on this site and hope I can return the favors over time. I have 4 savage rifles ranging from a 22 win mag in camo up to a 2005 Model 111 7mm Rem mag. The latter I acquired a trade for my tack driving Remington 700 SPS-AAC in 308 that was simply too heavy for me to shoulder. The 7mm is a project, and I expect to be calling for help as I proceed with it. BTW, I replaced the 700 with an Axis 308 with 20" threaded barrel - that shoots just as well for less than half the price! A little background... I'm a retired PhD chemist who enjoys the technology associated with firearms. Didn't shoot a gun until I was 68, and now I'm setting up to reload so I can afford this new past time.
