That's probably the best looking chassis I've seen. Does your rifle have the bottom bolt release and if so what did you have to do to keep it functional?

Yeah I had the trigger guard bolt release. So Now Im stuck with the bolt in the gun. But I can use a small punch to push the release bar in the chassis thru one of the side holes.

I also had to take off about 1/8 of material off the Bolt release arm ( I could of also shaved the stock but that decreases resale value )

    Thats it

Good deal. I can live with that knowing there is a way to remove the bolt when needed. Again that is a sweet rig there. That chassis just went to the top of my list when I get around to upgrading my FCPK

    Question

That looks so sweet. I want the TAC 21 for my 10 FCP-K but the bolt release is an issue for me.

Here in Australia we are not allowed to store, or travel with, the bolt in the weapon.

    So, a couple of questions:

    1) How hard was it to modify the chassis for the bolt release?

    2) How fiddly is it to then remove the bolt. Too fiddly for if you need to remove/insert the bolt every time you use it?

    Also ....

    3) That bipod is that?

    4) How does it shoot now?

    Thanks :)

    Nice looking set up.

I'm thinking about buying a Savage 10FLCP-K, but am fairly new to savage bolt gun models.

I was going to start a thread with a question about this particular model, then seen this one, so I figure I would ask here.

Does the 10FLCP-K sport a threaded muzzle, or is the brake mounted in another fashion?

If it is threaded, can someone tell me what the thread dimensions are?

    Thanks.

Savage uses 3 different threads for their brake setups.

For 223 barrels you get 1/2-28 pitch
For the bigger stuff like the 10FLCP-K you get a 5/8-24 pitch
For the ON/OFF muzzle brakes you get 9/16-28 pitch

The only one I am not sure about is the 338 Lapua barrels. Not sure if they too use the 5/8-24 or possibly a 3/4-?? pitch.
    204, 22 K-Hornet, 222, 223, 22-250, 22-250AI, 6BR, 243, 243AI, 6-06, 6-WSM, 250-3000AI, 270, 7-08, 7RM, 30BR, 308, 30-06, 375 H&H, 444 Marlin, 450BM, 458WM
