Axis 22-250 which Boyds stock do I order?

So do I order the short action or the long action. I noted that the magazine length appears to be the difference but it doesn't indicate how you measure the magazine. The short action indicates the box is 3 17/64" in length and the long action is 3 49/64" in length. Reading an older post they seemed to indicate that all of the calibers were short action. Any help is appreciated.

The Axis action screw spacing lengths are all the same size. The difference in choices has to do with the magazine's size.

Which one are you looking at?

I will go with the natural wood. I have never been really impressed with the thumb hole grips nor with laminates. Other people like them and it is their choice it is just not what I grew up with.

On the left hand side of the Boyds webpage you can search by specific model. After you choose Axis..on the next drop-down box choose Detachable Box Mag Short and then go from there.

Just to be sure, when the page is displayed with the stock about half way down their will be an Attention Customers in red and it will tell you what calibers that specific stock supports.
