Model 10 Predator Hunter in .243 Ammo Help Please

Im having a hard time finding a factory load that will shoot MOA groups or even Sub MOA groups. Can anyone tell me what is the most accurate Factory Load for a Model 10 Predator Hunter Max 1 in .243 with a Fluted 24in heavy barrel with a 1 in 9.25 twist. I'm tired of wasting time and money on bullets that won't group for anything. I know the rifle if fully capable of shooting .50 and smaller. Just need to know where to start. This is just a temporary solution. After the first of the year I'm going to start reloading again once I recover from the divorce and buy new reloading equipment. Thanks in advance for any help.

I've tried Hornady SST 95gr and 80gr GMX. Both my son's and wife's Savage Axis .243's are awesome with the 95gr SST. He has an Axis with 22 in barrel and she has an Axis Muddy Girl Youth with 20 in barrel.

Savage contacted me back and said the test load is Federal 70 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip. Berger reccomended the 95gr Classic Hunter. Just not ready to reload yet. Finding the Federal 70 grain is impossible. Guess I'm gonna try the 95gr VLD and see how it does.

Also Savage wanted me to send the rifle back for testing. They said it should shoot MOA or better groups with my particular rifle. Should I send it in and let them see if any fine tuning is needed?

It is a pain to have to do that but maybe that is the thing to do. Might want to reconsider the Berger....they can be really finicky to develop a load for. That is the bullet I'm working with right now and so far "no joy". I would opt for a Sierra 85gr HPBT over 43.5 of H4831 or IMR 4831. Never had a 243 that would not shoot that load. Not really fast but a good way to see what your barrel does with it.

I have found that there are very few rifles that won't shoot the Sierra 85gr HPBT GK accurately.

if you have only tried 2 loads domt send it back, and as wbm stated VLDs are sensitive to seating depth so factory VLD loaded ammo is not a good test if your rifle is already having accuracy problems
