Thanks guys! Need to cut off one too long screw(over barrel threads) that came with my EGW mount and like to use a nut on it when filing it down to chase the threads.

You'll never find a nut that size.

Sharpshooter- What would you recommend for me to do since I need to to remove about 1/16' or so off the end? I usually use an nut to chase the threads so the screw will start easy after carefully cutting and filing. Just want a good and easier start back into the receiver. Any suggestions? Thanks

I use a screw "gizzy"...I guess that's the official name. It's just a small flat bar with several tapped holes in it to hold the screw while you grind it. If you don't have one, I'd just use a pair of needlenose pliers and finish off with a file.

Ok guys, I found a old drill gauge and was able to screw it in and I just filed it off. It worked just fine and rings and scope are now on rifle.
