    ??? Intensity Scopes

Could use some feed back on anyone that has "first hand" experience with these scopes. Supposedly a collaboration between Federal and Weaver. I trust both these names--just don't have any knowledge on the scope. Thanks

The line is being brought out by ATK/Federal. The Nitrex line is made in Japan as is the Weavers. It almost looks like the Weaver group brought some Simmons guys along to ATK. The Intensity line looks like worked over 44 Mag and Aetec models. With the cost I would say maybe Chinese made. Hopefully they improved them.

    Re: ??? Intensity Scopes

I bought one in 3.8-12 not the best scope in the collection but it will do for now. I put it on a 223 model10 fp and will only shoot out to 200 with it, sighted it in and it tracked well and zeroed pretty easily for a cheapy ($90)with free electronic muffs(champion) and a nitrex lens pen.
The glass is on par with the simmons aztec and so is the quality of the scope overall imo.I don't know if I would mount on a heavy recoiler.
Even if the scope doesn't hold up for long with the extras I am only out about $20, I can live with that.
Since buying this scope I found SWFA and their wide selections of scopes so now if I need something I will start there. The prices are compareable and they have a 110% price guarantee.

I just learned that they changed the name back to weaver.
They sell them as the Weaver40/44 scopes.

The Weaver 40/44 series got a good review in Field and Stream too.

I have 2 Intensity scopes,5-20x44 its very close in brightness to my Nikon Monarch, I've heard they are built in same factory. It is mounted on a 223 adjustments are positive. Cost $100.00

I have another Intensity 4x12 set up on a 22lr functions fine. Both are mounted on low recoil guns so not sure how they would hold up on say a 308, however if on a budget they function fine and appear to have a good warranty.
