    My new Savage "add on"

    Specs:
    Yankee Hill Machine
3300 Ti (buy once, cry once)
QD (currently mounted to a brake but will get the flash hider for use in "F" class shoots) And of course no can
    .30 cal
7 month wait from the BATF for the tax stamp
POI shift was minimal. Two minutes high and 1 minute left with my pet 178 AMAX/Lapua/Varget/210 Match/loads this .308 just LOVES. Now, its quieter and even less kick than with the stock or, for that matter, the YHM brake(s). Always has been fun to shoot. Challenging myself out to 1070 yards. But this can is simply SEXY!

Yes. Without the can earlier this year full sized steel wolf. Good dope from another shooter and cold bore hit at 1070. Did it once without the can, like to think I could again with. That 178 Amax shows to go sub sonic at @ 1190. As for the size, only 8.5" long. And 15 oz's. Not bad if you aren't packing it far :)

Nice! I went with the silencerco specwar762 but am still waiting on it. Did the can affect your group size or just your POI shift? Is the shift repeatable?

Good questions! Im planning on getting my process started for a can January or February so these 2 questions have been in my mind as well.

    Chris and Nandy,

The can moved the POI on average (I use 168 to 178 grain pills in different makes for different purposes) 1.5 MOA and the only group size it affected (smaller now at zero range of 200 yards) is the 178 Amax. I went from a quarter sized group to a nickel. Very repeatable. Just like when I take the can back off, and using only the mounting device, (flash suppressor) the groups POI move the 1.5 MOA in the direction I adjusted for the can. And my cold bore shift decreased (closer to POA) with the 178 Amax. Before the can install, the shift with that pill WAS the most. Couldn't be happier with this YHM Ti can.
Good luck with yours. Like most things shootin.........they are addicting. No more sweaty in the way ear muffs. Consider a cover, I didn't initially, and now I have one (TAB gear) The mirage can get bad after a 3 to 5 shot string.
