    New Savage owner from NC


    Well, kinda new. My first .22 I got when I was 14 is a Savage (model # escapes me now). I've also shot my dad's Stevens 311D 12ga. I really got into guns about 8 years ago. First pistols, then ARs. I've always built my ARs and have never owned a factory rifle. Looking for something new to build, I discovered the ease of Savage builds. I currently have an old 111 7mm Mag on layaway (blind mag, top bolt release) as a donor action. Trying to learn all I can before tearing it apart. So far, I've learned quite a bit here.
