    Action screw torque amount?

I have a Savage 110HS 300 Win Mag in the HS Precision stock. My question is how much do I torque the action screws? Also in my manual Savage says to torque the front screw first. Is that the front bolt of the triggergard or the bolt screw at the back of the magazine well?

    Thanks!

I think the torque in that article on torque tuning is likely fine for a wood stock or a bedded one, but the HS Precision has an aluminum V block in it. I checked with HS Precision and they recommended 65 inch pounds, and torque the front one first. That's what I have done on my 10 FCP HS Precision, and it's a tack driver.
