If you hand load I have found RL22 to be absolutely awesome in the 25-06.
I pair it with 110gr accubonds and use a Winchester WLR primer and it shoots the lights out as well as putting deer down like lightning.
I Have been watching for a Stevens 200 LA and finally got one in 25.06. Centre feed action.
Hasn't done a lot of work. Was at the range yesterday. As expected the trigger will need work but I can't imagine it will shoot much better than this.
I hope to bed it and stiffen the stock.
So far pretty happy with the way it shoots.(just saw I cant post photos).
3 rounds in 1/2 inch @ 50m.
5 rounds in 1 inch @ 100m all using PP/highland ammo.
If anybody has any web links on tuning will be much appreciated.
Cheers

A good wife and a steady job has ruined many a great hunter.
I don't have the links, but you should be able to easily find how to tune the trigger (I assume it is the old non-Accutrigger) with a little polishing of the sear and a lighter spring wire. That should make a noticeable improvement. I have not been satisfied with a major reworking of the stock and do not run a factory stock on anything now. Depending on your preferred shooting style, you can buy decent replacements for as little as $100 from Boyds, or of course spend as much as you want for other brands. Happy shooting.
