If it goes bang, whats not to like
Isn't it funny how we are all different, I like the 250-3000 and Sierra hpbt bullets. I like Savage 110 actions. Every Savage I have owned has been accurate especially the 308 Shiloutte - WOW. My first 250-3000 was a model 99 that I bought for $80.00. When I left home I gave my guns to my uncle to "keep" for me but when he went through a divorce the guns got spred out. A few years after that I contacted his X-wife and asked for my guns. The only one I got back was my 99 ! Thats ok though, now my oldest son has it. I shot my "only" deer with it ( I needed the meat that year - another story ). Now I have a 110 in the 250 and its beautiful with an after market walnut stock - shoots great too! I plan to get a 250 for my wife in the Lady Hunter ( I know its not listed but Savage will honor a reasonable request ).
I enjoy reading about your choices and why, so why not put them down here.

Just about aything 6mm and 44 magnum.

The rifle I shoot most is a 1920 era Marlin 1894 in 25-20. It's extremely accurate and fun to shoot. Favorite pistol is my S & W 41. Fortunately I stocked up on .22lr before the panic hit.
My favorite is also the 250-300. Absolutely fantastic caliber I own three two model 110s that a built for coues deer hunting and a really nice 99 take down. A close second of mine is the 260 Ackley.
Got hooked on the 25-06 some 40 years ago. It's big enough for anything we encounter on the prairie and not dramatically over-gunned for varmints. It fit the bill well through the "1 centerfire rifle" years.
Same here.
I'd have to flip a coin to decide between my 25.06 and my beloved 30.06. Tough choice.
I guess it really depends on what's lined up in the cross hairs.
Add to the list: I just put together a .270 from a barrel I bought from someone here and a bunch of stuff I had hanging around. Haven't even dialed it in yet but it's on the list of calibers I can live with.
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!
Another member of the quarter bore cult (plus 1 here for .25/06),
however the .280. ack imp is starting to find its way into the truck just about as often these days.
Tough one for me....I love the quarter bore too, mines a 257 Wby, but I have a soft spot for my 06 and my 35Rem. I think alot of it has to do with memories too, at least for me

Pretty much anything in a .243"/6mm bore, but the 6-06AI and 6-WSM really have my attention as of late. I am also developing a real love for my 250-Savage-AI, small, efficient, and almost no recoil.

25-06 without a doubt.

My favorite rifle is my 99B .30-30, the only gun my Dad ever bought for himself and the one I killed my first deer with. I would be hard put to name one other than that, I love any well made firearm, old or new.
It's better to shoot for the moon and hit the fencepost than to shoot for the fencepost and hit the ground!
By far my favorites are what I call my mid range magnums, they are as it says mid range calibers and are all belted magnums from 6mm to 7mm
257 WBY, 264 WinMag 270 WBY, 7mmRemMag and my 6mmMach IV which is a 6mm which uses the same belted case and is a "wildcat"

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.
fav's are 300 win mag...or better known as the poor mans 338 lapua...and the 260 remington...i shoot both in long range matches but the guys cry about the 300 with the JP break on it so i only shoot it when we have new shooters on the line LOL.
Well; so much for getting a Lady Hunter for my wife. We found a guy advertising a 250 Savage that came from the custom shop. He got it built for his dad and his dad did not like the "matt" finish on the metal. My wife now has it, its nice! Stock is Walnut with oil rubbed finish and black tip on the forend, 250 Savage, matt finish on metal, has a clip ( like that ), accutrigger, I got a matt finish Bushnell scope on it - never shot, new in box. We got it home and so far put 10 shots through it ( she shot 9 - I begged and shot 1 !). We cleaned it after every shot too.
