Thought I would give my f-class savage 12 a bit of a polish up and post the results
This is the factory finishand this is the bolt and action so far.

Looks like you had it chromed!
Looks great
If you could get the inside of my barrel that shiny, I'd give you a dollar...
Really though, getting a polish like that and keeping sharp edges is no easy feat, great job.
Yes, great job keeping the edges sharp! I guess you CAN make a silk purse from a sows ear :)
unreal!
Ooohhhh, polish as in shine it up.
I thought maybe you were going to paint it the colors of the flag of Poland.
Looks great just the same. Nicely done.
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!
Excellent job!
How did you do it?
I'm guessing polishing media and buffer wheel?
"An armed society is a polite society"
"...shall not be infringed" What's the confusion?
Only used the buffer wheel for a final polish. The bolt handle was cast, it had cast lines and pits etc so I started with a stone dremel attatchment there. Then just good old sandpaper on a block. Started at 320 grit and went 400,600,800,1200 Then the buffer wheel. If you started with a buffer wheel and coarse compound you would definitely round off you edges which noone wants.
Starting the barrel this week but im going to spin that in the lathe
That really looks great.
Barrel, barrel nut and recoil lug done and assembled
While it was in the lathe gave it a new 11 degree target crown
That looks excellent !!
That turned out great!!!
