Savage Bolt Release

Does anyone know if the bolt release is stainless and painted, or it is blued. I am in the middle of polishing my action and would like to do the release as well.

What color is it? If it's blue, it's blued. If it's silver, it's plated.

thank you, I suppose the savage you polished that is on 6mm br is the plated version. I was hoping that mine was stainless and savage had treated it somehow to make it blue.
