Question EGW Picatinny rails and Burris Rings

First time using the EGW mount, and I'm using Burris Signature Z Rings.

As we all know, the slot on the rail is much wider then the Weaver base's.

The question is, do you slide the ring tight "Forward" against the recoil lug and torque them down, or does it matter.

Ancient High School physics - objects in motion - would make me think if you have it tight forward, recoil would not want to slide it back.

How are you guys doing it?

    Bill
