Ball park SWAG, between $1400 to $1700. What is the owner asking for it?
I'm trying to decide whether to buy a .308 target rifle with 240 rounds fired. It has a 4.4 target action that has been trued with a 11 twist 30" Brux barrel with trued nut and pillar bedded in a factory savage laminate f/tr stock. All work was done by a nationally known gunsmith. It aslo comes with a extra factory Savage F/tr stock and a 20moa Ferrel Rail. I know it shoots b/c the owner won a state f/tr title with it last year. What's a gun like this worth?

Just found out it was a stainless model 12 action and not a target action.
Anything is only worth what you are willing to pay for it. If the owner doesn't want to sell for your price then it cost too much. JMHO

There is nothing wrong with the model 12 action to begin with. Here is a break down: truing 150.00 or so , brux including chambering 500.00 , extra stock with pillar bedding job 450.00 std extra stock 250.00 roughly, farrel rail 75.00 or higher plus any labor not mention like truing the nut etc 150.00. Don't know what trigger and that can add 150.00 or less.total 1575.00 roughly so go from there and if he can produce receipts it could have been alittle more. Forgot the receiver and that would be around 400.00 to buy.
Willing to give back for what the sport has done for me!
