A plug for my sons new beer book

My son's recent book is due to be released this September and I'd like to make a plug for him. If you like to brew your own beer, or like craft brewed beer, this book is all about the craft breweries big and small. He has gotten excellent reviews and write ups on it so far.

    http://www.amazon.com/We-Make-Beer-A...s=we+make+beer

It is available for pre-order at this time.

    Background

My son has been, and is a sports writer. He has written for several different newspapers, one in Palmdale, CA (Antelope Valley Press) and one in Boston area (don't recall the name) and currently for the Santa Barbara Press. He has been a feature writer and columnist for Beer Advocate magazine. He will soon be traveling to Wisconsin for their book festival, and to the Denver beer festival, to promote his book.

He is an excellent writer and well versed in the art of making beer. I would love to see his writing career take this new path with great success.

Appreciate you taking the time to look it over, and hope you can purchase it. Enjoy.

Do you know how proud I would be if either of my boys wrote a book on brewing beer???

Congratulations to you and your son.

I'll have to check the book out.

Yea I think I do. Funny thing is, I probably never took more than one drink a year, raising them, still don't drink much, and never liked beer. Go figure!

    Thanks!

I probably won't be able to buy a copy.

The reminder of how stupid my son turned out would be too painful. The kid must take after his mother.

However, I do wish your boy the best in his endeavor.
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!

Congrats indeed. I brew for my family and friends myself. I'll keep a sharp eye out.

    You are correct drybean.
My apologies. It was meant as a sarcastic comedy line but I can see where some may not perceive it as such.
I figured it was fair game when he talked about his sons.

    How ya doin' Jim?...

Think about it for a moment. He just might be better off by NOT knowing me.
No worries. I make no bones about having 3 offspring and only one turned out like her 'ol man. I look forward to hearing about her accomplishments on a regular basis.
If one of my kids wrote a book - ESPECIALLY about beer - I would go on a 2 week drinking binge.

Of course, it's been a while so I'll need a beer drinking refresher course. I wonder if the local community college has anything on that?...
    Off to work. Later, y'all.

    Sir,

If I have in any way offended you I am sorry.
From your writings I suspect you are somewhat of a sarcastic curmudgeon? If that be the case the alcohol class is down the hall across fromm the friends of William meeting.
Sometimes one's offspring, or relatives, we must resign ourselves to what they are and not what they could've been.

In order to offend me I would have to have feelings. After 4 or 5 marriages and a few kids I don't get bothered by much.
    No worries.
Just go buy this kids book.
If there's any lessons on drinking, let me know. I'm thinking about starting.
    Again.

I wasn't talking BS and likely share a lot in common with Frank.
Maybe I overstepped my bounties and for that he has my apologies.

I'm a big time home brewer. Been doing it about 14 years now. I'll keep an eye for the book. Although I have several already...
