    Maybe sooner than I think.


    Hello from the miserable state of connecticut. Yes, I know i did not Capitalize it, shows my lack of respect for the current conditions here. I have been researching the Savage line for months now. My wife and I are both underemployed so money is a factor. I have been leaning towards the Trophy Hunter XP in 308 but also like the Precision Carbine. It will be a range gun as I am not a hunter and not likely to start at my age. The club I belong to has a 100 yard range so I'm thinking the cheaper package gun would be suitable for my purposes. I have never owned a bolt rifle but have read some very favorable comments regarding the Savage rifles on the various gun related sites. I've shot 223 7mm Rem. magnum and 458 Win. magnum in the past so 308 will be something new. Thats all, folks.
