Recoil Pad for Savage 10 Trophy Hunter XP (wood stock)

Recently bought limbsaver model number 10601 (recommended for savage 10...4.75 x 1.685). It is perfect width, however it is a little short (by like .17 in). The other model recommended for savage is 10111(4.92 x 1.605), which is perfect length but is not wide enough. Any suggestions?

I bought a medium Pachmayr Decelerator for mine. It fits perfectly.

Grind to fit is the only way to go. Usually the mediums work best.

Grind to fit medium...tip...freeze the pad solid in the freezer or in a bag of crushed dry ice...it will make grinding and sanding smooth easy button easy...

Another trick is to use balistol aerosol spray on the sanding wheel and on the pad. Makes for a very smooth finish I prefer this method over the freezing.
